rymec0de 3 Report post Posted April 13, 2016 Haven't seen it requested before, but insetting would be a gift! Here's a video displaying it: I know, that we can get a similar result with face+scale=extrude, but I would love a special feature devoted for it, that would also allow me to pass the exact value I'm looking to inset for. 1 GabrielW reacted to this
karl 321 Report post Posted April 13, 2016 If it were just a shortcut for Scale + Extrude with amount, that'd be pretty easy. Inset however I think would ideally extrude an equal amount from all edges (as opposed to scale which will skew for smaller vs. larger edges). Gabriel has also been wanting this for a while, so it'll get a bump in priority 2 wolfen420 and superdupergc reacted to this
GabrielW 60 Report post Posted April 13, 2016 Yep, this'd be great! One of the items I miss most from 3DS Max. 1 wolfen420 reacted to this
rymec0de 3 Report post Posted April 20, 2016 Yeah, the scale + extrude while being easy, isn't exactly inset. And obviously, I'm looking for the full blown one. Have you guys got a roadmap or something?
wolfen420 44 Report post Posted April 21, 2016 Yeah, inset would be nice. The only way I have found to achieve this is just deleting a face and extruding the edges and then connecting the edges which is tedious.
spooky 4 Report post Posted August 17, 2016 I would like to add a vote for an Inset feature. I keep running into this switching between Max and ProBuilder.
