  1. Yes, it's rotating the mesh as soon as I select freeze transform. This is what I'm doing. 1) Select the child with the mesh I want to rotate the pivot for. 2) Tools -> Probuilder -> Actions -> Probuilderize Selection (yes to children) 3) Rotate the mesh 90deg in the inspector 4) Tools -> Probuilder -> Actions -> Object -> Freeze Transform After it finishes, the mesh is no longer where it was and the pivot has been moved so it's no longer close the original pivot point (several units away). The only thing I can see that might cause an issue is on this model, the object has a scale that's not 1 and it's child object has a scale as well that's not 1.
  2. Thanks for the quick reply. When I select Freeze Transform, it moves the pivot point as well as rotates the mesh about one of the axies. I thought the freeze command would simply lock the transform and not alter the orientation. Am I missing something? Thanks, Reggie
  3. I'm trying to animate a gun model in Unity and the keyframes insist on rotating the model the long way around. It appears the only solution is to rotate the pivot point 180 deg to make it rotate the shorter angle. I've found where you can move the pivot point but couldn't find anything on changing it's orientation. Thanks, Reggie

    Texture Painting

That would be true for terrain but I'm looking to use this for models where there will already be a unique texture for each model. Think of weapon models, buildings, character models, etc.. It would be great to be able to use this tool for touching up existing textures and creating new character looks.

    Texture Painting

Ok, thanks for the info. I would think that performance wise you're going to be much better off with baking rather than loading up numerous textures and combining them at runtime. I'll definitely purchase it when it can bake.

    Texture Painting

Sorry for the delayed response, I was watching for an e-mail to notify me of replies but didn't receive one. Thanks for the video, that was helpful. It looks like the shader might be the limiting thing for me. I assume this doesn't work with the Unity standard shader. What would make this really useful for me is if it could bake the texture out for use in shaders that don't support multiple texture blending. I don't see needing this for terrain so much as adding detail to models, fixing textures, etc... Without the ability to bake, I would have limited use for the texture painting. Thanks, Reggie

    Texture Painting

Are there any videos showing the texture painting features? I would be primarily interested in using this right now for painting and touching up some models. I wasn't sure if polybrush was really more for just terrains or if it would do well for model painting.

Data corruption - can't delete any faces

Ok, good to know. I guess I need to go back and apply them through the materials window if I need to change anything. Thanks, Reggie

Data corruption - can't delete any faces

I used drag & drop. After going back and re-applying all the textures, they seem to be staying at this point. I really want to avoid these sorts of problems in the future so do we need to use the material editor? Thanks, Reggie

Data corruption - can't delete any faces

I should mention that if I open another scene without saving and come back, the texturing is restored but selecting any object causes the material to disappear. There is nothing being logged to the console.

Data corruption - can't delete any faces

Hey Karl, Thanks, that seemed to work although during the process something happened and now every time I click on an object, that object loses it's material reference. When the scene loads, all the texturing is intact but clicking on any faces causes the texture to go away. In the inspector, the material shows "none". It seemed to start happening when I was adjusting the UV coordinates to one of the objects with the UV editor. Any thoughts? Reggie
  12. I seem to have some corruption in one of my objects. I can add geometry to the object but nothing can be deleted from the object. Faces can be moved but not deleted or detached. When attempting to delete, the following error is logged: ArgumentException: An element with the same key already exists in the dictionary. System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2[system.Int32,System.Int32].Add (Int32 key, Int32 value) (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/mono-runtime-and-classlibs/build/mcs/class/corlib/System.Collections.Generic/Dictionary.cs:404) ProBuilder2.Common.pb_IntArrayUtility.ToDictionary (ProBuilder2.Common.pb_IntArray[] array) ProBuilder2.Common.pb_IntArrayUtility.RemoveValuesAndShift (ProBuilder2.Common.pb_IntArray[]& sharedIndices, IList`1 remove) ProBuilder2.MeshOperations.pbAppendDelete.DeleteFaces (.pb_Object pb, ProBuilder2.Common.pb_Face[] faces) ProBuilder2.EditorCommon.pb_Menu_Commands.MenuDeleteFace (.pb_Object[] selection) ProBuilder2.EditorCommon.pb_Editor.ActionsGUI () ProBuilder2.EditorCommon.pb_Editor.OnGUI () System.Reflection.MonoMethod.Invoke (System.Object obj, BindingFlags invokeAttr, System.Reflection.Binder binder, System.Object[] parameters, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/mono-runtime-and-classlibs/build/mcs/class/corlib/System.Reflection/MonoMethod.cs:222) I've tried running the repair options but nothing will resolve this including duplicating the object.
